About This Project

Located at the corner of Mavis and Arthur Street, Footscray, this multi-residential project comprises 23 quality apartments over 3 stories. As a transitional site between a dominant institutional building complex and predominantly single storey residential dwellings, the form of the building addresses the dual nature of the context by creating a bond linking the two precincts, whilst forging its own identity as a benchmark for quality urban renewal. Broad floating eaves float above a shaded glazing band. The roof tucks the upper level in and the vertical entry element housing a user-friendly stairway to the upper levels from the entry providing a strong sense of address to this part of Arthur Street.
